The house

La Marianne is Jimmy's restaurant and pizzeria in Villeneuve-lès-Béziers: the village's new place to eat, on the square, a stone's throw from the Canal du Midi. Its motto fits in three words: Freedom, generosity, good company.

The house promises authentic, generous, home-made cooking from the best produce: meats, tapas, pizzas, cheese cassolettes, salads and seasonal dishes.

A warm dining room, a shaded terrace at the foot of the Marianne statue, and walls that regularly host temporary exhibitions by local artists.

The place

We all have a memory tied to the Marianne. A first kiss, a first scrap... It was the meeting point before heading to the beach. We used to gather at the Marianne.

A family story

Two village figures, and a son back at the stove.

Miko

Jimmy's father opens the very first pizza van in Villeneuve-lès-Béziers, opposite the cemetery.

Then

Martine

His mother launches the famous Pizzeria du Clocher. The family would go on to run several places in Villeneuve and round about.

Today

Jimmy

Trained in the family restaurants, ten years at the helm of the Clocher, then the cabane à Zikos on the beach at Sérignan and at Cessenon-sur-Orb through the summer of 2023. And here he is, back at the stove in Villeneuve.

Jimmy has divided his life between catering and show business, between the South of France and Guadeloupe. That spirit of generosity and mingled cultures runs through the restaurant, right down to the glasses... before you enjoy your pizza, let yourself be tempted by a house planter's punch.

Why La Marianne

When the time came to name the restaurant, la Marianne was the obvious choice. Standing opposite the restaurant and overlooking its terrace, the statue is a landmark of the heart for many local people.

We all have a memory tied to the Marianne, Jimmy confides. A first kiss, a first scrap... It was the meeting point before heading to the beach. We used to gather at the Marianne. Back then she stood on the other side of the square, in front of the Grand Café.

What this sponsorship funds

1

La Marianne supports Elite Prime

La Marianne backs Elite Prime and says so openly: on this page, on the Partners page and in the games.

2

The players play

Every game played on Elite Prime counts for the platform's athletes, from the field to e-sport.

3

The athletes benefit

The Elite Prime principle: the games played support athletes... and a house like La Marianne is what makes that support possible.

The content and terms of the sponsorship are still to be settled between La Marianne and Elite Prime.

Bonus · The chef's swap

This is no ordinary collector's card: it is an add-on for La Part du Chef, the Elite Prime pizza game. In play it goes automatically to the player who takes the slices to share out, that is, the chef. At the end of a round they may sacrifice it to swap two of their kept slices for two slices kept by the other guests: they choose what they give, to whom, and what they take. Once played, the card leaves the game.

Funding, in Trophiz

Like the other company cards, it adds 25 Kŧ to your match budget as soon as it is drawn... enough to field a more expensive athlete.

How to get it: it is reserved for fans of La Marianne. Become a fan just below and it joins your collection straight away; there is no other way to get it.

The Kŧ is the in-game currency of Trophiz: it has no real-world value and no connection with real sponsorship.
